Do you ever get stuck on something that happened in your past? Whether it was yesterday, last week, last year, or 2-100 years ago? When you say to yourself “If only A, B, C hadn't happened I'd have been X, Y Z better off? Does that help you? When you have that conversation with yourself do you feel lighter or heavier? Does regretting, blaming or shaming your past help you create your future? And truth, can you ever change your past? No. If you'd like to be free of the concrete shoes that your past might have become, ask “What if there were nothing wrong with my past?” What if everything you have ever been, done, said, worn, studied, worked at, loved, hated had been exactly right to create the you you are now? Then ask “Am I willing to let it go and ask what would I like to create as my life and living now?

Many a times I would get these sudden flashbacks from my recent and distant past. Usually there are certain moments in the present where I am most susceptible to getting flashbacks from my past experiences. For example I might be doing something or look at something that triggers a memory about the past and then I experience having an inner dialogue about that past moment that comes into the present. Does this mean that if my mind replays something from the past and it gets a reaction out of me then could it be my minds way of trying to clear out things from my mind that don't serve me? Or could my mind replaying past experiences be a way to tell me something that hasn't been resolved that needs to be resolved in some way, or coming to terms with something about myself that I yet haven't accepted? Do I have to come to terms with something from my past before letting it go? Or would letting it go be enough in and of itself? Yes, I would say that these moments when I experience past flashbacks about certain things it does give me a heavy feeling. Some past flashbacks about my past give me a light feeling, and those are usually flashbacks about moments when I was happy about something.
